Good news Pitchfork attendees, and maybe-not-as-good-news prospective Pitchfork vendors – as of today (5/26/2015), we have sold over half of our vendor tables for the 2015 CHIRP Record Fair at Pitchfork Fest! If you haven't yet sent in your vendor contract, nab it here and send it in ASAP.

Now that we've put a very successful and fun April Record Fair behind us, it's time to look forward to the Pitchfork Fest Record Fair! We will be open all three days of the fest once again this year, which will be July 17-19. Keep an eye on the site for vendor and artist signing updates.
Dealers and labels, find this year's Pitchfork Record Fair contract HERE. Fill it out and get it back to us by June 5th - we're expecting to sell out this year though, so the sooner the better!

It's hard to believe. In less than 24 hours, the 13th Annual CHIRP Record Fair will be upon us!
A couple of last-minute housekeeping items:
ADVANCED TICKETS WILL NO LONGER BE AVAILABLE AFTER 10 PM TONIGHT. If you don't get your ticket through EventBrite before 10 PM, you'll have to wait in line and get it at the Fair. You can get your advanced tickets HERE until then. Remember, GA tickets are not good for readmission, so if you plan on taking a break mid-day and coming back, you'll wanna spring for the Early Admission ticket.
If you do have advanced tickets (EventBrite or Chicago Reader RealDeal), you can blitz on by the Admissions table in the entry hall and go to the doors before the stairs - someone will be there to scan/take your ticket.
IF YOU PLAN ON BUYING BEER, BRING YOUR ID. We are using a tickets system this year - $6 will get you one ticket good for one beer, and $10 will get you two. Your ID will be checked at the ticket purchase point AND at the beer vending/ticket exchange point.

...figured out how you're getting there yet? We're right by Union Park, so if you still have your Pitchfork directions, that'll get you pretty close! And remember, West Town Bikes will be providing bike valet services, so don't worry about where you're gonna lock up your fixie.
...stocked up on the appropriate vinyl transportation paraphernalia?
...pillaged your Rainy Day fund for cash on hand? Many of our vendors are cash-only, as are at-the-door ticket sales, so you'll wanna stop by an ATM on your way over - however, you can skip the ticket line and use your credit card by purchasing your ticket in advance!
...set yourself a budget? Trust us, you're gonna need one, unless you have Herculean impulse control.

What's that? Haven't heard about the cool extras at the CHIRP tables yet? My, but we've been remiss. Check it out:
New this year, swing by the CHIRP vinyl tables and score your mystery record grab bag! $5 will get you a mix of 10 different LPs and singles, and maybe even a bonus CD or cassette. This all comes in a nifty CHIRP tote bag, free with purchase! There will be an extremely limited quantity of these grab bags, so make sure you get yours early!
And finally, in a triumphant return, the Record Fair Raffle is back this year and better than ever! Tickets are $1 each, or six for $5, or fifteen for $10. Our prizes this year include gift certificates, tickets, passes, and merchandise from the Second City, KOVAL Distillery, MuckFest MS Chicago, Lillstreet Art Center, Johnny Casserole, Bow Truss Coffee Roasters, Isla Pilipina, Jackalope Coffee & Tea House, Fat Willy's Rib Shack, Overflow Coffee Bar, the High-Hat Club, Ciclo Urbano, and HoZac Records. You don't even have to be present to win! The drawing will occur sometime in the late afternoon, around 4 PM - make sure you buy your tickets before then!
