The CHIRP Record Fair & Other Delights returns for its 13th consecutive year! The Record Fair will once again take place at Plumber's Union Hall in the West Loop. Freshen up your record collection and support CHIRP by joining 1,000 fellow music lovers at this all-day shopping event featuring dealers from all over the Midwest.

The first tables have been reserved by vinyl vendors eager to help you make that turntable rock. Great coffee, food, and beer will be onsite to keep you fueled, and the Other Delights are going to be fantastic - perfect for a breather from all your furious crate-digging. Mark the date, April 11 — an event not to be missed!

The CHIRP Record Fair at Pitchfork 2014 was a gas!   Thanks to everyone who stopped by the CHIRP table to say hello.  We had our first ever artist meet/autograph event this year, when tUnEyArDs' Merrill Garbus ran over after her performance to Matador's table & hung out with her LONG line of fans.  Vendors were very pleased with the turnout, kudos to all of you vinyl junkies who got your fix with us.  Hope to see all of these fine purveyors filling up our tables at our Spring15 Fair in April, and again at P4K15:

Believe it or not, the 2014 CHIRP Record Fair and Other Delights has come to close. Now that our vinyl hangover has worn off, we can reflect on the all the awesomeness that took place at Plumbers Hall this past Saturday. This year over 1,000 attendees browsed 60 vendors throughout the day. It kicked off with the early bird collectors at 8am and rocked all the way until 7pm, when the last glass of Goose Island beer was drunk. Didn't make it to the fair this year? Here's what you missed.

The day started off with Dark Matter's special CHIRP Radio Morning Mix coffee, a brew that's available at Dark Matter for a limited time. Once the coffee kicked in, shoppers wound their way through over 100 tables of records, CDs, tapes, books, and collectibles while munching on breakfast treats from Upton's Breakroom.

The famous CHIRP Music Quiz gave attendees a chance to stretch their brain and win some excellent prizes. CHIRP DJ, Austin Harvey, was nothing short of hilariously entertaining. Plus, it gave buyers a chance to pour over their purchases. Music from the Windy City Soul Club kept the fair going, while tasty tacos from Big Star satiated even the most rabid collectors. Beer courtesy of Goose Island washed it all down and gave us the extra boost of confidence to buy that extra rare import single.

It was a beautiful Saturday and we want to thank everyone who made it to the fair, all of the vendors who participated, and all of our sponsors who helped make the 2014 CHIRP Record Fair and Other Delights great. If you missed the fair, don't fret. The CHIRP Record Fair will be at the Pitchfork Music Festival again this year, July 18th through the 20th.

Calling vinyl collectors and lovers of all things awesome! It’s almost time again for CHIRP’s 12th Annual Record Fair & Other Delights!

Come join the fun this Saturday, April 12th, 2014 at Chicago Journeymen Plumbers’ Union. This is your chance to browse through thousands of records from over 50 vendors from across the great Midwest. We've got labels (including Already Dead Tapes & Records, FPE Records, plus Chicago’s own Reggie’s Live) slinging merchandise for you all day…keep your eyes peeled for some good finds!

And what is the “Other Delights” part you ask? Besides the greatness of the record fair, you’ll have the chance to hear some sweet tunes for the always amazing Windy City Soul Club. You can also test your music knowledge during the Music Quiz, hosted by CHIRP’s very own Austin Harvey. Win some cool prizes during the CHIRP Raffle, too!

As if all this wasn't enough, there will be food and drinks. I repeat, food AND drinks. Chow down on some tacos from our buddies over at Big Star, and for our vegan friends we've got Upton’s Breakroom to satisfy your tummies through the day. Keep your spirits high with some coffee from good folks at Dark Matter, who will also be selling the limited edition CHIRP Radio Morning Mix Blend at the fair. For all the adults out there, Goose Island will be providing libations to keep you hydrated and feeling good.

If this sounds like something you’re into, we want to see you there! For all you enthusiasts out there who are looking for first dibs, you can hit the early bird from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. for just $25. General admission to the Record Fair, beginning at 10 a.m., is only $7, or $5 with a flyer. Parking is free for all those attending the fair. Come join us for a day of music, fun, and good times!
